GPS Positioning in 4 Ways

The Link-9, equipped with an integrated GPS receiver, includes four methods for verifying GPS location in an emergency: internal antenna, SMA connector for GPS-500 antenna, NMEA 0183 connection to chart plotter GPS, and NMEA 2000® connection for network antenna connectivity.

Built-in AIS

The dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the location of nearby AIS vessels, helping to avoid collisions in busy harbors and heavily trafficked waterways. AIS data can be viewed on the Link-9 radio's display, overlayed on the chart, or on the radar display through the multifunction display.

Remote Mountable Hand Microphone

The detachable hand microphone of the Link-9 radio can be connected to the front or back of the radio. With the optional extension cable, the radio and microphone can be installed separately, providing a simple and cost-effective solution for installation at any location without cable clutter.

Easy Front Mounting

The Link-9 radio features easily removable top and bottom frames, beneath which are mounting holes. This allows the radio to be mounted from the front in the same manner as Lowrance multifunction displays.

Navigation Mode

By pressing the NAV button on the Link-9 radio, you can switch the radio into a navigation device that displays speed and course. The Link-9 also includes a Man Overboard (MOB) function. By holding the NAV/MOB button, you can set a waypoint to your current location, putting the Link-9 into MOB mode and displaying your distance and direction to the person in the water. The MOB waypoint is also transmitted via the NMEA 2000 connection to other devices on your network.
