Designed by Markus Huovinen (YouTube: Fishing from Northern Savo), the Orka Hybrid Shad jig series combines the legendary Orka Shad jig's body shape with the V-tail of the Orka Small Fish jig. Markus developed the Hybrid Shad jig during an ice fishing trip by cutting off the V-tail from the Small Fish jig and attaching it to the Orka Shad body. The test model quickly proved to be extremely effective for catching large perch and zander during the very first fishing days. Coupled with the Ruthless Ice Jig Head, the Hybrid Shad swims like a balanced ice jig, gliding sideways. The swim imitates an injured baitfish, enticing predator fish to strike aggressively!
In summer fishing, the Orka Hybrid Shad works effectively with either Slim Keeper or Stand Up jig heads on days when fish prefer a subtle presentation with a sliding jig.
