A suitable cordless drill includes the Makita DHP 458, which has a maximum torque of 58 Nm. For auger use, set the cordless drill torque to a sufficiently loose setting to avoid injury. Adjust the drill's torque such that the auger lightly bites into the ice and does not 'hit the wrists' if it gets stuck. The Rapala UR EVO Pro HDA cordless drill adapter fits all direct Rapala UR EVO augers with a removable crank (not folding models). Note!
