The Miravel is a lightweight yet powerful reel offering versatility and reliability in true Shimano style. Built using Shimano's legendary CI4+ frame, this reel is both light and sensitive. The Miravel also features Shimano's MagnumLite rotor for effortless winding and quick hook sets.
The combination of Shimano's premier reel technologies – cold-forged HAGANE Gear, SilentDrive, and X-Ship – delivers a durable gearing solution under stress. The S, or Shallow model spool is ideal for braided lines.
• CI4+ material is a perfect blend of carbon fiber and polyamide. Nearly as strong as metal, yet with the lightweight properties of a composite. CI4 material is used in the frames and rotors of Shimano reels.
• Coreprotect. Simply prevents water and dirt from entering the internal components of the reel effectively while keeping the reel's operation lightweight.
• Cross Carbon Drag fishing brake. Shimano Cross Carbon brake discs ensure smooth drag force throughout the entire drag range and also allow for a very broad drag force adjustment range.
• G-Free Body design moves the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod, enhancing casting ergonomics and reducing fatigue.
• Hagane mechanism operates very precisely and with minimal friction, ensuring optimal reel feel and power. The Hagane mechanism uses cold-forged, pure, recycled aluminum. Forging results in a more durable end product due to changes in the metal's internal crystalline structure, and allows for the smoothest and most frictionless gearing surfaces.
• Propulsion Line Management System. New Propulsion spool design. Tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations have shown that this new spool edge design offers longer casting distances than standard spool edges while preventing backlash and wind knots.
• Silent Drive technology minimizes reel play and muffles noise.
• X-Ship. Shimano's X-Ship feature means that critical parts of the mechanism are supported from both ends, keeping them precisely in place. You will thus have ample power and torque that you will notice when battling with your record catch!
