Haghus Hinge Backcountry Binding
The Haghus Hinge is an excellent backcountry binding with a hinge and quick adjustment for forest skis, particularly suited for snowshoes. Fits shoe sizes 36-45, up to 46 depending on the shoe model.
The binding features a hinge that allows smooth skiing while keeping the foot aligned with the ski, whether skiing straight or descending hills. A stopper in the front prevents the foot from sliding forward.
The tightening mechanism is similar to that of traditional snowshoe or snowboard bindings with adjustable straps. In the Haghus binding, the straps sit over the toes and the back of the foot, which is the optimal position. Furthermore, the strap locks are easy to tighten and release effortlessly. Many low-cost bindings do not cover the toe area, which limits flexibility and significantly reduces comfort.
Package includes a pair of bindings, screws for snowshoes (for skis with compatibility thread), and wood screws for attaching to regular cross-country skis. Instructions are included.
